Longer lives.
Our aspiration for community life expectancy.
Longer lives. Stronger years. Happier people.
A shared vision for longevity and community wellbeing in Park City.
Park City knows how to move mountains. Now, let’s put that spirit to work for the people who call it home.
By 2050, we want more people to live longer, remain active and independent, and feel connected, purposeful and fulfilled. A place where healthy living is easier, more accessible and more rewarding for everyone who lives and works here.
Vision2050PC brings local people, businesses, clinicians, nonprofits and civic partners together around one shared future. We’ll test practical community programmes, measure what works and share the learning with towns around the world.
Read the founding vision ↗Three ambitions. One simple idea:
living well should last a lifetime.
Our aspiration for community life expectancy.
Residents aged 80–89 who remain active and independent, including those using appropriate aids.
Average resident life satisfaction, measured through a representative community survey.
These are proposed 2050 goals, not current results. Baselines, population boundaries and consistent measurement definitions will be agreed with community and public-health partners. We intend to report progress transparently. Participation in an event or an individual health test does not establish a representative community baseline.
Health is built in everyday life.
Small choices. Better surroundings. More connection.
Make nourishing food and hydration part of everyday life, with more opportunities to cook, eat and learn together.
Host a shared meal or help a local group make fresh, nourishing food easier to access.
Support movement at every age and ability. Build on our outdoor spirit with accessible opportunities to stay active, strong and independent.
Start a regular neighbourhood walk with a route and pace that welcome different abilities.
Make better sleep part of our community conversation, with practical education and supportive routines and surroundings.
Bring a sleep conversation to your workplace or community group, and choose one routine to improve.
Build time and space for recovery, emotional wellbeing and support. Healthy living needs moments of ease as well as ambition.
Create a recurring, welcoming space for people to pause, talk and connect.
Consider the air, materials and everyday environments around us. Work together on practical ways to reduce avoidable exposures.
Review the air, ventilation and cleaning products in a shared space, with qualified advice where needed.
Help people feel valued, connected and useful. Make friendship, shared purpose and opportunities to contribute easier to find.
Invite someone new to a shared activity, or offer your skills to a local community project.

Our ambition is for Park City to become a recognised centre for longevity. A place where healthier living is designed into daily life, and other communities can learn from what we do.
We don’t need to wait for 2050 to begin.
